Open Source + Mediate + Tough Media
Creative Collaboration, Tools & Community
1. Open Source was brainstorm workshops, a think tank, that gathered creative people together weekly with the goal to collectively help develop new ideas and strategies for a variety of projects.
2. Mediate was an attempt to provide the tools necessary for real-time online creative collaboration. The goal was to provide an interface that was so neutral that creative input and output would be showcased in a simple and understandable manner.
3. Tough Media is where I started to build a bold identity and online home for the creative people and activity found within these projects.
All three of these were part of my senior project at the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design. Their development was also overseen by the New Media Innovation Centre (NewMIC).
