SCoPE
Identity & Website Redesign

The SFU Community of Practice for Educators (SCoPE) received a BC Innovation award for leadership from the province’s Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG) and BCcampus. The ETUG Innovation Awards honour individuals from public post–secondary BC institutions who test, implement and use educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning, and/or who provide greater service and support to students, faculty, staff or administrators. The SCoPE project was recognized for leadership in community-building, knowledge and resource sharing, and fostering "thought leadership" among BC post–secondary educators.

SCoPE brings together individuals who share an interest in educational research and practice and to offer opportunities for dialogue across disciplines, geographical borders, professions, levels of expertise, and educational sectors. With this very broad mandate, flexible tools, and an open mind about how to proceed, the members have shaped this online community into a vibrant meeting place for dialogue, collaboration, and sharing.
