Name: Ariel Aguilera & Andrea Benyi
Education: Monash University / Life
Describe your work:
Our work aims to not only describe but also stimulate the imagination. Just like the imagination, there is no trend as to where the image is leading, but rather a presentation of carefully constructed randomness.
We have a commitment towards developing our own perspectives of thinking, feeling and researching within our work and wish to show the possibility of a tight coexistance between design and art.
Inspirations: People taking a chance & NATURE.
Awards or Recognition: No awards, perhaps some recognition?
Future Projects/Goal: To evolve.
What is one word that describes your artist style? Interpretive.
How did you get started working with ROLLOUT? By sending them an email.
Please list a few cool or inspirational websites you visit and love:
What resources do you use for creating your work? Our imagination.
Can you share any of your secret tips?
When you are suffering from 'creative block' go to the park, movies or an exhibition.
What did your parents want you to be instead of an artist?
Ariel: Not sure, but I did want to be a Marine biologist while in high school.
Andrea: No idea.
Is there a piece of art you wished you had created, and why?
Not in a past sense, but we would definitely like to create some large sculptural / 3 dimensional structure which people can interact with. Some sort of small imaginary wonderland world.
What gets you excited about tomorrow? The chance of another day.
How would you refer to the current artistic style and mindset you live in today?
In constant migration.
Anything else you’d like to add?
